Welcome to...
The Commuter Connection!

Your way to connect with other commuters in the Boone, Stephenson and Winnebago Counties Workforce Investment Area

You can use The Commuter Connection Website to find other students and employees coming to campus who live near you and have similar schedules.

If you are driving alone to work The Commuter Connection helps you find your coworkers, employees of other nearby companies, and people who live near you and have similar work schedules. If you are attending a WIA funded training program or taking college courses you can use The Commuter Connection Website to find other students to share rides and save travel costs.

Fully secure, it will help you find ridesharing partners in the RRTC area. Register now to give it a try. There are no obligations, and you can remove yourself from searches whenever you’re not actively looking for ridesharing partners.

Send us an email if you are interested in and need help establishing a vanpool.

This Website was developed through collaboration with Rock River Training Corporation, Inc. (RRTC), Rockford Mass Transit District (RMTD), The Northern Illinois Workforce Alliance, and the Rockford Metropolitan Agency for Planning (RMAP). This Website is funded with a Section 5316 Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and with Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds.

Supporting local employers, creating a skilled workforce and promoting sustainability are priorities of Rock River Training Corporation. In order to support and encourage employees and students to carpool we are pleased to launch this dedicated ridesharing solution. It is designed to help you find commuting partners who work for our local employer partners, and students who study through WIA funded programs at local college campuses and training centers. Register today using your e-mail address to find a carpool partner.
